Mobility grants

The discipline of policy evaluation can develop effectively if there are pronounced, flexible, open and bottom-up actions gathering researchers and professionals, and fostering their knowledge exchange through scholarly dialogue at European level. People engaged in PROFEEDBACK will have the chance to apply for mobility grants.

Inclusiveness Target Countries Conference grants (ITC) are a cornerstone of this initiative, which Young Researchers (under the age of 40) may benefit from; these grants support them in showcasing their individual research outputs in conferences and events relevant to their fields. Additionally, Short Term Scientific Missions (STSMs) enable them to find synergies and similar initiatives at research institutes outside of their affiliation.

Short Term Scientific Missions (STMSs)

PROFEEDBACK will provide individual coaching opportunities through STSMs. Short-Term Scientific Mission consists in a visit of a host organization located in a different country than the country of affiliation by a Researcher or Innovator for the specific work to be carried out and for a determined period of time. Short-Term Scientific Missions benefit to:

  • STSM Grantee: receives funding for implementing a project with an international team and gains new knowledge or access to equipment or techniques not available in the home institution;
  • STSM Host: receives an international partner in their institution and can develop long lasting collaboration.

STSMs will be carried out 2-3 times every year, letting on-site confrontation of methodologies and topics between partners from various sectors and from different European countries. They will effectively contribute to the better understanding of regional and national perspectives as well as the challenges and constraints in the policy evaluation field. ECIs (Early Career Investigators) and young professionals will be prioritized during the selection procedure. Based on voluntary offers of host institutions, PROFEEDBACK also plans to schedule group STSMs during which 3-5 participants will have mutual dialogue on used methods and share possible good practices to be taken over. Individual and group STSMs will strongly contribute to the career development of participants by providing insight into the host country’s and organization’s national evaluation practice.
