The REvaluation Conference 2024 will took place on 4-6 December 2024 in Vienna, Austria, under the theme “Navigating Times of Change”. This event brought together leading academics, practitioners, and policymakers to explore the rapidly changing landscape of research and innovation (R&I) policy and its implications for assessment and evaluation.

With 40 PROFEEDBACK members presenting across multiple sessions, this conference provided a unique opportunity to engage with cutting-edge insights and methodologies shaping the future of evaluation in R&I policy.

Key conference strands included:

• Evaluating Transformation Policies: Designing effective approaches for evaluating socio-technical system transformations, highlighting progress, challenges, and best practices.
• Redefining Success in Science: Rethinking traditional research metrics to recognize diverse contributions and address societal challenges.

• Digital Age Evaluation Tools: Investigating the impact of digital technologies and AI on evaluation methods, alongside discussions of ethical considerations.
