The call for Short Term Scientific Missions (STSM) has been published and is now open for applications for the period 1 May 2022 – 31 October 2022.
The discipline of policy evaluation can develop effectively if there are pronounced, flexible, open and bottom-up actions gathering researchers and professionals and fostering their knowledge exchange through scholarly dialogue at European level. As such, professionals engaged in the PROFEEDBACK Action will have the chance to apply for mobility grants such as STSMs, which enable professionals to find synergies and similar initiatives at research institutes outside of their affiliation. STSMs consist in a visit of a host organization located in a different country than the country of affiliation by a Researcher or Innovator for the specific work to be carried out and for a determined period of time.
The first call for STSMs of the PROFEEDBACK Action has recently been published with a total budget of 6250 EUR (up to 1250 EUR / applicant). There is no specific deadline, applications can be submitted on a rolling basis. However, applications must be submitted at least 30 days before the planned start of the mission. Grant decisions are normally announced within 30 days after submission. STSM must occur within the period of 1 May 2022 – 31 October 2022. In order to apply for an STSM grant applicants must either: 1) be enrolled as a PhD Student or postdoctoral fellow, or 2) be employed by, or affiliated to an institution or legal entity that conducts research.
Applications should be submitted through e-COST profile at the online platform of COST Association. More details on the call and the application procedure can be found on the PROFEEDBACK website’s Mobility Grants menu and in the PROFEEDBACK STSM call document. In addition, applicants may find further eligibility provisions, along with further specifics, conditions and information, in the COST Annotated Rules.
